“A year ago, Islam Dar Ayyoub was a sociable ninth grader and a good student, according to his father, Saleh, a Palestinian laborer in this small village near Ramallah.
Then, one night in January 2011, about 20 Israeli soldiers surrounded the dilapidated Dar Ayyoub home and pounded vigorously on the door. Islam, who was 14 at the time, said he thought they had come for his older brother. Instead, they had come for him. He was blindfolded, handcuffed and whisked away in a jeep.” – The New York Times
This is what our brothers and sisters in Palestine must live with year after year: injustice on a massive scale. This is no different than the dreadful gulags of communist Russia. A majority of the Israelis are from the former Soviet Union, so this is a given — people often act out of habit regardless of where they are.
In the darkest days of Islamic Rule, the Jews were given the right to govern themselves under the millet system, yet when they occupy our lands they behave like the brutal, ruthless animals that they are, and our governments do nothing because we do not have a government.
We are oppressed and treated in an inhumane manner by almost every country in the world because we do not have an Islamic State that is willing to stand up for the rights of every Muslim everywhere.
